.... to the rescue!! A neighbour had to go to the UK for five days and naturally didn't want to put her elderly Deer-hound and Little Dachshund into kennels. Not having lived in Spain long she doesn't have a support system, when living in the UK she could rely on family and friends. I'd spoken to her a while back giving her my card. When she asked if I would look after Quartz, her elderly Deer-Hound and Dory, her Dachshund for five days how could I refuse? She asked how should she pay me when I said "I don't charge" she was amazed saying "You can't do it for nothing" but I can and I do but bless her she insisted on doing something I told her if she was happy, more importantly Quartz and Dory were, with the way I looked after her puppies I'd appreciate her making a donation to A.R.C.H. on my behalf (and fetch me some Aspirin from Boots) I texted her everyday giving her reassuring updates, she had my "home" number and telephoned once. Everything was fine, puppies safe, secure and more than happy with their (me) Mary Poppins as I've been named by Mum best of all she knows there are other pet and house sitting Mary Poppins through www.trustedhousesitters.com when I leave ........ everyone wins, especially Quartz and Dory!!
