.... for another house sit and I'm so happy!! No we didn't have a domestic as they say, there are times when house sits overlap and providing our home owners don't mind us flying solo I will apply for the assignment, in nearly 10 years I've never had anyone object.
Last October I was in LA for a two week pet sit when John flew to Spain from Canada to start our 6 month assignment in Andalusia. Sometimes it's quite therapeutic to have some alone time. As full time house sitters we're almost joined at the hip and even if your partner is your soul mate, best friend and the reason you get out of bed in the morning time alone, space, freedom, call it what you will, is good for the soul. So I have three "good for the soul" days ahead of me.
Still in Chelsworth with the gorgeous Zorro who loves me so much he brings dead rats home and once he's proudly shown me the prize will proceed to devour the entire animal hairy skin and all right in front of the kitchen where I'm preparing Risotto, salmon and asparagus, who has the best gourmet taste in food? I did take pictures but for the sake of the feint hearted wont post.
So where has John gone? Eight miles west to the village of Battisford and a lovely home, with very large garden and meadow, chickens and a Collie named Jess. Home owners left today for two weeks in Boston and Toronto, I'll join John on Tuesday when Zorro's Mum and Dad arrive home from France ... it's a great house sitting world folks!
