So here's a little life lesson I've learned in the last three weeks when the body gets to this age, my secret, it doesn't take too kindly to staying sat!! especially When it's been bashed, broken, stretched and generally abused over the years like mine has .... abused by owner, broken by a moving motor vehicle many moons past and horse power of the animal variety making me the proud owner of some bionic replacements, sounds better than joints!!
Anyway here's a very big tip and piece of wisdom ..... KEEP MOVING!!
Exercise, walk, ride bikes (if you can) do yoga, Pilates, Zumba, ski, swim, play tennis, dance, ride horses, stretch, DON'T jog you'll have no knees left,even make mad passionate love:)
In the words of that well know maker of all moving and stretching stuff "Just DO it!"
.... here's why. For three weeks I've done none of the above and I usually do at least three of everything 5 days a week. Instead I've sat for hours in a very fast, expensive but supremely uncomfortable sports car, slept in strange beds, sat for hours at this infernal contraption, and a few hours on a plane. Result?? PAIN! HURT! PAIN! and back to popping anti inflams and pain killers. But and here's the real point I want to shout about, when I do what's best for this body like the above activities there's very little need for chemical relief!
So old'ns and young'uns alike look after the temple that is your bod., give it good sensible healthy fuel and Move It, Move It, Move It !!!! ...... off out walking now!
