A Missing Boot and Case of Sod's Law

PictureFelipe rescued! Now our loved stable pooch
Meet Felipe the A.R.C.H. stable rescue dog, he's put on a little bit of weight since this picture was taken. Monday morning he bounded up to greet me, a happy dog now, and while I wasn't looking "stole" my boot out of the trunk (car boot in English) Now this wasn't my smelly, yard welly but a very nice brown suede Fitflop ankle jobbie aptly called the "Mukluk Moc"

The dulcet tones of my "Come back Felipe" had no effect, whatsoever. Some obedience classes when he gets really well and settled in perhaps. Anyway the boy buried it somewhere. Five of us checked around the yard, including the muck heap (did I really want it back?) no luck.

Convinced I'd never see it again (I really like the boots) decided to look on line for another pair. Found! BUT 215 Euros? I only paid $99.00 US. My home owner Michelle is in Dubai, shopping capital of the world, could they be cheaper there? E mail sent, request made, no same price but she found a pair half price on a UK site. Yeah!! Same boot, colour, bought, paid for and on their way. I volunteered to do a "shift" yesterday afternoon, arrived at the yard and what's sitting on the ground in front of the tack room? My boot, just a little dusty but otherwise untouched! Perhaps I should have ordered a different colour!

                                                               Sods Law indeed:))
