House sitting assignments have been many and varied, including homes in the US, Canada, UK, France, Italy and Australia. Length of sits ranging from two days, to several months in all kinds of properties, including homes with resident staff. Home owner's requirements are unique in many instances, that's where a trusted house sitter is invaluable.
We love animals, they are simply a joy, the connection we have to each and every one is hard to put into words. Importantly, and for your peace of mind, we're very experienced and knowledgeable with most domestic pets. I volunteer with the BCSPCA and am also a member of the Canadian Springer Spaniel Rescue of Eastern Canada. We've been privileged to care for many dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and health conditions, horses; competition and pleasure, as well as fish, birds and rabbits. I've owned and ridden horses most of my life and continue to do so when I have the opportunity. Our youngest daughter is a Veterinarian a distinct advantage in times of emergency, although we hope never to have to call on her expertise.
John is without doubt the best "fixer" I have ever met there seems to be nothing he cannot fix, except dinner perhaps, he even makes an excellent pool boy! A knowledgeable gardener he enjoys nothing more that digging the dirt. He shares my passion for animals and travel we really are the best house sitting team, organised, flexible, completely unflappable, utterly trustworthy, with a good sense of humour and a philosophy that says "There are no problems .... only solutions"
